Hiatus

Yep. I'm on it.
On Hiatus... that is.

When I'll get my account back up, I'm not so sure.
Hopefully later October/Halloween.

See ya then!

Maraudon

  • Lvl. 50 * The Noxious Hollow, Maraudon, Desolace, Kalimdor
Huzzah, huzzah... I'm plundering Maraudon today.

Let's see... I've with me... Winterknight the Blood Elf paladin, Caeliess the Blood Elf warlock, Gorandak the Tauren hunter, and Kadyane the Blood Elf paladin.

Fun, fun!

They're all from the guild Earthsong too.

Tumnus won't stop frolicking with Kadyane's cornish rex. Good grief, haha. The very last thing I need him to do is get caught up in one of the monstrous vines around here.

Maintenance Day

  • Lvl. 49 * Gadgetzan, Tanaris, Kalimdor
Just a few moments ago, Imriel the Undead warrior, Taurasu the Blood Elf hunter, Filetmignonn the Tauren shaman, Malisterbane the Orc hunter and I went to Zul'Farrak and totally swept the place clean.

I even got a cool mojo mask and a powerful staff to replace my old weaponry.

Tumnus even got to play with Taurasu's little white kitten while we took care of things.

Now I'm off to turn in some scrolls... [before the maintenance people kick me off, heehee.]

Thrill of Adventure

  • Lvl. 48 * Stonard, Swamp of Sorrows, Eastern Kingdoms
Well, never mind about my previous journal entry. Valindrah the Blood Elf rogue and Actaeonkrios the Orc hunter of the guild Praxeum ran me and an Undead warlock, whose name I can't recall, through the Sunken Temple.

I got a cool new pair of gloves by the end of the run.

...That was fun.
I'd like to visit that place again some other time.

No Love

  • Lvl. 48 * Thistleshrub Valley, Tanaris, Kalimdor
Apparently there is no love for Whimsi...
No one will take her to any dungeons.

Q_Q

Tumnus cries too.

=^Q.Q^=

Poisoned!

  • Lvl. 46 * Stonard, Swamp of Sorrows, Eastern Kingdoms
Hehe... I just poisoned Infiltrator Marksen. Filthy, wretched human tried to speak ill of the Forsaken to the orcses. Good riddance!

Thursday, April 24, 2008

Ho hum...

  • Lvl. 43 * Nek'mani Wllspring, Stranglethorn Vale, Eastern Kingdoms
Sooo... I'm killing naga, trying to prove myself to the bunch of goblins that manage Booty Bay.

Pfft, it's not all that exciting. I'm bored off my tail bone.

Hmm... Maybe if I slaughter enough, I'll find something of interest...

Or not.

Ugh, 'kay, I'm just turning the scroll back in, the human only needs so many Akiris by the bundle... and he only asked for twenty of them and I have 'em.

I'm done here.

Raptors

  • Lvl. 42 * Boulder'gor, Arathi Highlands, Eastern Kingdoms
Now... Why didn't anyone tell me that gathering raptor eyes was a tedious task?

The Human and the Night Elves

  • Lvl. 40 * Southern Gold Road, The Barrens, Kalimdor
The Alliance Runners -- Thora Feathermoon, Hannah Bladeleaf, Marcus Bel, and Aean Swiftriver and -- all suffered a terrible disturbance while patrolling the Southern Gold Road in the Barrens.

They all lost their minds.
...Pity. Haha.

*Giggle*

  • Lvl. 40 * Brackenwall Village, Dustwallow Marsh, Kalimdor

*Pats her skeletal steed lovingly...* Aww, who's a g'boy? Who's a good boy? Oh, WHO'S a good boy?

"Zombie" is... Oh, yes he is.

Come now, Tumnus, dearest, we've an ogre to help...

*Gallops into the marshes...*

Swo0o0o0o0o0osh

  • Lvl. 40 * Ratchet, The Barrens, Kalimdor
Fear my shadowwww forrrrrrmmmmmmm...

MWAHAHAHAHAHAH
AHAHAHAHAHAHAH
AAAAAAAAAAAA!!

*Falls off the dock after missing the boat...*
Shiz.

Oh haiiii.... Stranglekelp.

Us Priests...

  • Lvl. 39 * Ruins of Alterac, Alterac Mountains, Eastern Kingdoms
Haaaa... I just watched "Archdeacon" the Night Elf Priest [lvl 32] try to walk past a path surrounded by [lvl 36-37] Crushridge ogres. Haha.

Riiiiiight. Like everything's possible buddy...

In the meantime, I'm going to flay their, the ogres', minds.

Mud and Fog

  • Lvl. 39 * Mudsprocket, Dustwallow Marsh, Kalimdor
Ahhh... Another day. Today, hopefully, we're killing dragonlings and helping some ogres.

Then, later, we'll have to stop by Brill to pick up my order of horse tack.
Mmhmm... and we'll pay a visit to Father Lazarus before beheading some people for gear...

Whew!

  • Lvl. 37 * Mudsprocket, Dustwallow Marsh, Kalimdor
Ugh... Keeping dry, slaying searing whelplings, and avoiding crocolisks is proving to be a very, very... VERY hard task to do... with every minute that passes while I'm hanging around here in the Marsh.

My quest scrolls are all muddied now. I've fallen into about... I don't know... fifteen puddles since I scrambled out of Scarlet Monastery last night?

Bah. And, while I was in Tirisfal, I didn't check up on my handsome stallion to see if he was still for sale.

Doot Doot Doooo

  • Lvl. 36 * Sewers, Undercity, Tirisfal Glades, Eastern Kingdoms
Hehe, just wasting time while trying to get a group to plunder the Scarlet Monastery.

Gonna look at the horses in Brill later, too, I've always wanted a horse since I was younger. I've only ridden a pony once and that was during a faire when Lordaeron was still prosperous [and alive].

I saw this one in the stable a few days ago when I was on my way to visit Dark Cleric Duesten just for old times' sake. I just hope he's still there...

I'm excited. Heee.

Whimsi strikes as...

...the Lawful Good

A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. She combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. She tells the truth, keeps her word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion.

Moving On

  • Lvl. 33 * Brackenwall Village, Dustwallow Marsh, Kalimdor
Tarren Mill was getting a bit ridiculous after a while... Bunch of selfish humans and large, rabid wildlife.

I spoke to Balai Lok'Wein about how to make heavy silk bandages. I had fun reading that with her and making small talk, but she had other customers to tend to afterwards, so I have now settled into the cozy cave where "Little" Logok has set up quite a nice inn. Well, I think it's nice... I mean, there's room to stretch out and the cave floor isn't too hot or too cold. It is really quite nice really.

I'm hoping to camp out here for a bit. I heard that there was a goblin town that I could acquaint myself with eventually once I dry my bones for a while and wander around, help out others around here, and possibly strengthen my abilities.

The Forsaken

  • Lvl. 32 * Tarren Mill, Hillsbrad Foothills, Eastern Kingdoms
I have discovered Tarren Mill...

I kinda like this place.

...if only random human things didn't keep messing around with the guards, it'd be perfect.

Whimsi: Up Close & Personal

Known Favorites: Bats, shades of blue, cats, herbs/flowers, Tigule and Foror's strawberry ice cream, warmth, Dalaran robes, horses, shaman ghost wolves, light feathers, books
Known Dislikes: Rain, Dwarves, coffins

Character in 3 Words: Charismatic. Curious. Clueless.

History: No one seems to know who she is or who she once was... All she knew when she was awoken from her slumber was the fact that "Lady Sylvanas' forces would find use for her" and that she was to start her training at once. The Dark Cleric who chose to take her under his wing helped bring her to some sort of awareness, embedding in her mind the duty that she was to serve as a priestess, seeing as her life was severely tainted by the plague. She believes it is her mission to cleanse fauna and flora alike.

It has been hinted that she may have some telepathic/precognition ability, given that she can pick up individuals' names without prior introduction.

Personality: She is often clueless, if not clearly distant or curious; also shy and very quiet most of the time. Her quietness, however, often leaves people thinking she knows what she's doing or believing she's stuck-up [which she finds convenient]. Seeing as the rot and decay hadn't reached her ears nor claimed her eyes, she makes good use of them; her hearing and sight her most-prized senses. She breathes out of mere habit. She also loves to hop and has an odd curiosity for the Dalaran humans.

Currently, she still has her air-headed moments, but since her recovery of her beloved feline, Tumnus, her memory and ability to work out certain problems has improved greatly since her awakening. She also loves to sit on high ledges, mailboxes, and in corners --basically anything flat-- to read books.

Her first trainer in Deathknell called her "Whimsi" after her rather colorful, random and whimsical statement of "Ah, doornails..." These words formed the first statement to come from her cold lips, helping with giving her a nickname.

Appearance: This Forsaken steps along lightly, though often tripping over her bony toes. Her once black-brown hair has become discolored from her slumber in her tomb and has been cut short to rid her of the need to brush it away from her eyes. Her pale skin no longer carries any sort of tan pigment, though most of it is intact; a dreamy smile and nearly vacant expression compose her facial features. Her joints have started to show pieces of bone; her toes and fingers are also exposed, as well as the top vertebrae of her spine and her pelvic bone. She slouches, standing hunched over, due to the uncomfortable position she was buried in.

The glowing pupils set in her sunken sockets glow a vivid yellow, though at times, her right eye may discolor into a pale green or white. When she speaks, her voice is airy and soft. Draped over her lithe and petite frame, sewn bits of tailored cloth cover her to give her a more decent appearance. By the looks of her face, it would seem as though the plague had taken over her body when she was merely out of her teenage years. Despite the sight of her decayed flesh, her overall scent seems to be composed of a subtle peacebloom and mageroyal perfume.

A nearly-empty backpack can be seen on her back, or, rather, slung about her shoulders so that it sags and rests to the left of her spine. Attached to it are two pieces of fabric that were once bags, now serving as "pockets." The staff she readily uses is tucked diagonally across the backpack straps. Attached to her belt with a clasped bronze hoop, a small pouch contains her palm-sized spellbook. Hanging about her hip, opposite of the small pouch is a well-made wand. At her feet, Tumnus, alive and purring, flicks his tail idly, his vivid emerald eyes alert and cautious.

The skeletal steed she sits highly upon, despite her hunched-over posture, neighs with a raspy, grating noise. His once muscular frame is now barely skin and bone, though his hind legs and underbelly still sport his grey pelt, which has discolored to a blue shade. It is highly apparent that Whimsi was over-excited in becoming his rider; he is fitted with a regal, crafted sapphire-adorned bit, silver chain reins, and a lavender leather saddle [which sports his name "Zombie" embossed in elegant script lettering].

Timeline:
+ 1: The First War begins [between orcs and humans]. Whimsi [once named Elodi Barnes] is born.
+ 4: The First War ends.
+ 6: The Second War begins; the Horde has now recruited jungle trolls. The Horde invades Lordaeron and destroys much of Quel’Thalas.
+ 20: The Third War and The Scourge (the undead plague) begin. As the nation of Lordaeron is consumed by the plague, Whimsi/Elodi Barnes perishes from disease; however, she did not rise again as a zombie as most of her fellow citizens had, and her body was laid to rest near Brill. Quel’Thalas falls under Arthas’ attack backed by an army of undead; in defense of the city, Sylvanas Windrunner is killed and resurrected as his minion. The Tauren join the Horde. Joining forces, both Horde and Alliance work together to drive out the Burning Legion at The Battle of Mount Hyjal.
+ 22: Lady Sylvanas Windrunner rebels against the Lich King and forms the Forsaken, who join the Horde.
+ 26: A group of Forsaken scouts find Elodi's body a few feet from her robbed grave due to mischievous gnoll activity. They take her back to Deathknell and pile her among the other gathered corpses. Elodi Barnes, after Dark Cleric Duesten's approval, is awoken/resurrected and is renamed "Whimsi."

Power. Can you feel it?

  • Lvl. 30 * Thunder Bluff, Mulgore, Kalimdor
Ahhh... Learning to cloak my targets with a Vampiric Embrace really takes the energy out of me...

...wearing trousers that you were given when you were 16 seasons into your training is ridiculous. I need to find a good blue pair to wear, that would soooo make my night.

Haha

  • Lvl. 29 * Freewind Post, Thousand Needles, Kalimdor
I just watched "Mystdragon" the human paladin try to kill a Freewind Post Guard.

HAAA! Funniest thing ever... especially when she pulled out one of the jewelcrafting golemns, er, statues. Hee.

I'm now on my way to acquire Arikara serpent skin.

Rain, rain...

  • Lvl. 28 * Thunder Bluff, Mulgore, Kalimdor
GO AWAY!!

Ugh... washes away all my herbal perfume.

Now, I'll probably stink of rot and mold later.

Oh, hey, I have mail.

Note

  • Lvl. 28 * Freewind Post, Thousand Needles, Kalimdor
NOTE TO SELF: I'm in need of a training session. Must visit Father Lazarus or Lotheolan [since they've taken me in as an official apprentice].

And... I need to find the Galak Messenger sometime soon. Thunder Bluff will be pleased with the act of presenting them his note and intended plan.

Moo.

  • Lvl. 28 * Freewind Post, Thousand Needles, Kalimdor
Earlier this evening, I met Hammerfury, a very helpful, strong, and determined bull. We traveled together for some time from the Barrens to Thousand Needles. It was quite nice.

We started with gathering materials to blow up a flying machine for the Revenge of Gann and reposessed the Tear of Moons for Feegly the Exiled; then, we got rid of some members of the Grimtotem Clan, deciphered a secret note, killed some centaurs, ran around looking for Steelsnap before running into him after escorting Pao'ka down from Highperch, killed some harpies, looked for the Alien Egg, skinned some creatures, helped Lakota escape, and gathered wyvern eggs together.

We also ran into Achellios the Banished. Well, he actually ran past us with his three hyena puppies, but, either way, he was too quick for us to catch up. Ah, well... He eventually charged into me while we were running to Whitereach Post.

Heartrazor gave us a pretty good surprise too, and we both pretty much fell off the cliff and had to come back to our senses moments later when we realized what had happened. Fun, fun... The odd-colored beast eventually went down and Hammerfury got to keep his pelt.

Gosh, that was fun, except for the part where I had to carry Tumnus over the Darkcloud Pinnacle bridges... such a kitten.

Borders

  • Lvl. 25 * The Mor'shan Rampart, The Barrens, Kalimdor
Slowly trekking along with quests and missions, proving myself to the Horde...

Tumnus loves traveling.

"Boost" the human Paladin just ran past me on his horse. Ugh. Puh-thetic.
Ah, there goes the guards.

Owies

  • Lvl. 23 * Stonetalon Peak, Stonetalon Mountains, Kalimdor
Trying to get a scale off a Fey Dragon is tough, too. Oiii...

Hoofed Things

  • Lvl. 23 * Mirkfallon Lake, Stonetalon Mountains, Kalimdor
Trying to pluck out courser eyes is a hard task, let me tell ya... Getting head-butted in the chest isn't fun either when you're already missing a few ribs also.
